Private and cozy RV, direct bus to NYC Manhattan only 2 blocks away

About this home

Welcome to this private and cozy camper/RV. Everything you need is here in this unique space. The RV is hooked up to electric so you will always have power for lights, outlets, air conditioning, etc. The RV is parked behind a private house in a convenient and suburban area. ALDI supermarket is 5-minute walk away. Direct bus to NYC 2 blocks away. No parties, events, or smoking of any kind -- strictly enforced. This RV is a converted Sprinter van. It is 22 feet long and about 7 feet wide. You will be able to stand up comfortably in the galley area if you are 6 feet tall or shorter. In the bathroom and the bed area, you may not be able to stand up straight depending on your height. The space is like a small studio apartment -- lots of features packed into a small space! Please keep in mind, however, that this is a vehicle and not a house/apartment. There are some differences from what a house/apartment can provide. Please read the entire listing to understand what we are talking about. You will have exclusive and private access to the RV during your stay. This unit is NOT shared with anyone. You will be the only person using it. Two blocks away there is NJ Transit Bus No. 115 that takes you to Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City (Midtown Manhattan). The ride takes about 60 minutes and costs $8 per person. You can also drive easily around this area and there is plenty of parking. EWR airport is only about 20 minutes away. Walking/jogging in the neighborhood is also very easy. There is no TV in the RV, but you can use your tablet or phone with paid WiFi for entertainment. Please note that the water heater will give you warm water but not hot water. Please understand this before booking. The heater will heat the water to about 20 degrees above the ambient temperature, but it will not be hot. There is a good AC that keeps the RV cool. There is a good furnace that keeps the RV warm. During the winter months (November through March), we treat the water system with non-toxic antifreeze. You can use water for washing/showering, but you should not drink it. You must park on the street if you have a car. The parking is relatively easy to find. Just pay attention to the street cleaning signs. You cannot block the driveway with your car. You are not allowed to drive the RV. If you want to book it and drive it, it is listed on outdoorsy for that purpose. Contact us and we will let you know how to book that (it costs more for the drivable option). A few things to know before you book: To keep our homes safe and welcoming for everyone, all guests complete a quick verification before arrival — we’ll reach out by email or text with the simple steps once you’ve booked, so please complete it before you travel. Guests are also asked to either purchase a damage waiver or leave a refundable security deposit, and to sign a short rental agreement. A valid credit or debit card is required; if you’re paying us directly by card, we’ll ask for a photo of the front and back and a signed credit card authorization form, and the name on the reservation, card, and ID should match. Please also have a valid, current government-issued ID ready — if it’s expired we won’t be able to approve the stay, and no refund applies in that case. Additional charges may apply. Have any questions? Just reach out — we’re always happy to help! WI-FI — AVAILABLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE Wi-Fi is not included in your booking. Internet access at this property is offered only as a paid add-on, so please do not plan on free Wi-Fi during your stay. If you would like Wi-Fi, message us before or during your stay and we will send you the current rate and connection details.
